2013 - 2018

Studied at University of Canterbury

In my time at uni, I have developed competitive problem solving, analytical, reporting (written and verbal), and technical skills. I learned several programming languages including Python, Java, CSS, HTML, etc. I was involved in various projects from individual research to group design projects where I have developed leadership and communication skills. I have demonstrated strong technical skills during university project work and much of my experience has been within a team environment. I am able to take responsibility for my own work as well as being able to demonstrate leadership when required. Meeting deadlines has been a consistent part of my academic and working life and I have learned how to communicate with people in situations which require tact. My academic skills have given me the ability to communicate effectively with people, on paper as well as through presentations

2014 - 2016

Microsoft Student Accelerator

In this voluntary coursework, I followed MSA online tutorials where I learned to create web apps using the .NET Framework. This involved designing and creating both the front end and back end components of an application. This built the fundamental knowledge I have around .NET which I still use today.

2016 - 2017

Firetrust, Intern

I worked closely with other interns to create a native Android app. I was challenged to learn a new framework and implement it at the same time. This experience enhanced my ability to quickly absorb new knowledge in order to implement it or share it with others.

2017 - 2020

House of Travel Holdings

I have played various roles within this business to satisfy its requirements. I started out as an Orbit Enterprise Implementation Specialist. I created sites using legacy tools in line with the client's needs. I then stepped up as a tester. I drafted and implemented user acceptance tests including API testing. I then became the SME of a new system and I countinue to support it as an application support analyst. As a support analyst, I work in an agile team environment with an iterative approach in software releases. I am responsible for maintaining high quality software and ensuring production environment always runs smoothly. I create regression tests including unit and acceptance tests. I analyse and troubleshoot technical issues using knowledge around SQL and RESTful APIs and answer technical questions from demanding stakeholders as a subject matter expert. In addition to this, I engage and negotiate with suppliers to ensure external products and resources are utilized where appropriate and delivered on time and to a high level of quality.
